Bremont watches, founded and run by the affable English brothers, has developed a Special Edition Kingsman watch range for director Matthew Vaughn's new film Kingsman: The Secret Service. Based on a comic book by Mark Millar, the film is about a veteran secret agent who recruits a rough but promising young trainee.

Starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson and Taron Egerton as agents of the top secret British spy organisation, all the actors appear on screen donning Bremont watches. As befits the rank of the more senior agents like Michael Caine and Colin Firth, both actors wear a Bremont rose gold chronograph World Timer. Eggsy, the novice recruit in the film, played by Taron Egerton, wears an all-black chronograph on a NATO strap before being upgraded to a rose gold model upon completion of his training.

Matthew Vaughn, director of Kingsman, says: "Kingsman are first and foremost British, which made Bremont watches the perfect fit. Apart from making fantastic mechanical watches, Bremont has links to the military and their special forces around the world, making them the perfect timepieces for the modern spy. In addition to being a practical watch for a spy, it is my belief that you can tell more about a person by his watch and his shoes. Kingsman is all about being a gentleman, and Bremont is very much a modern-day gentleman's watch."

Fans of Bremont watches will spot co-founder Giles English - wearing a pair of the tortoiseshell glasses that all the spies in the film seem to favour - who makes his cinematic debut in Kingsman. As one of Britain's few luxury watch companies making timepieces for military squadrons and the public, Bremont product placement made perfect sense for such a "Made in Britain" film.

The Bremont Kingsman Special edition watch comes in three different cases: rose gold, stainless steel and a black DLC coated model. All models are equipped with an automatic chronometer-certified movement powering the chronograph, the hour, minute, small seconds counter, date and the world time zone function.
