Pomellato jewellery: gift ideas for women made simple

An injection of Italian glamour for Christmas from Pomellato’s versatile Nudo and Sabbia collections could end up fostering a luxurious all-year-round habit.

This season, the Italian jeweller Pomellato makes it easier to find the perfect Christmas gift as new versions of its classic Nudo ring in white gold, set with an amethyst, blue topaz and lemon quartz, are presented with the addition of diamonds.

Pomellato is one of the first places you should head to for Christmas gift ideas for women. As all resourceful Italians know, the beauty of Pomellato lies not just in its impeccably crafted golden curves, luscious precious gemstones and arresting design, but in its wearability.

Pomellato jewels are designed to be worn daily, making them popular gifts that can be enjoyed year-round. These are not jewels to sit waiting in the safe for an important event to come out and play. They are an everyday luxury that can be played up or down, depending on how you wear them.

And this brings me to the second facet of the appeal of Pomellato jewellery. Many of Pomellato's designs, including the Nudo and Sabbia, are conceived as highly versatile pieces. The rings can be stacked, mixed and matched or worn simply on their own. Stack three Nudo rings for a very personal blend of colours, or simply wear one for a minimalist look. Matching earrings and pendants complete the look.

This season, the Italian jeweller makes it easier to find the perfect Christmas gift as new versions of the classic Pomellato Nudo ring in white and rose gold are presented with the addition of diamonds. The shank is set with a rich pavé of sparkling diamonds that add light and life to the central stone. So while your beloved may already have a few Nudo rings of varying sizes and colours, she certainly won't have one of the new versions with diamonds, a sunshine lemon quartz, a sky blue topaz or a regal purple amethyst.

True to the original and now iconic design of the Nudo collection in 2001, the intricately facetted central gemstone is set without any visible anchor, allowing the stone to sing out in all its colourful glory. One of these new rings would add a whole new look to your existing Nudo stack, however many you may have tucked away in your jewellery box.

Like the Nudo, the new Pomellato Sabbia jewels are born to be stacked. These mini little pops of shimmering diamonds come in three different sizes and can be played around with to your heart's delight. Each ring, bracelet or choker features a pleasingly plump disc set with white, black or brown diamonds in a random pattern that mimics sun on sand. The rose gold disc is either rhodium-plated to enhance the white diamonds or burnished to a dark lustre that, like volcanic sand, is the perfect backdrop to the mysteries of brown and black diamonds.

But be warned, once you have given one piece of Pomellato jewellery as a gift, the chances are she will be wanting more, making this the perfect present whether adding to her collection or starting a luxurious habit that she will enjoy every day of the year.
